Caldwell Medical Center announced they moved to a new phase for COVID-19 vaccinations this week and that things are going well.
Infection Preventionist Mandy Smiley tells the News Edge this opens the availability up to a whole new group of residents for phase 1C.
Smiley says around 200 people received vaccines each of the last two weeks and that nearly all of the appointments for the week of March 8th are filled.
Although there are other options now available, Caldwell Medical Center has been administering the Moderna vaccine.
She explains as, with any vaccine, you could experience some side effects.
Smiley adds while severe reactions are always possible, no one who has received the vaccine at Caldwell Medical Center has experienced them.
