State Expanding COVID-19 Vaccination Sites

Kentucky announced new COVID-19 vaccination sites Thursday afternoon that will continue to ensure everyone who wants a vaccine can get one.

Governor Andy Beshear said the new sites mean the Commonwealth has 567 vaccine sites. Included in the new sites, the Benton Walmart and federally qualified health centers expanding their sites in Muhlenberg, Todd, and Logan counties.

Beshear added there were going to be new independent pharmacy locations that will distribute the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, with the state expected to release a full list in the coming days.

The state announced 1,068 new COVID-19 cases and 28 new deaths Thursday. Kentucky’s testing positivity rate fell .15-percent to 4.45-percent.
