The Pennyrile District Health Department has confirmed five new COVID-19 cases in Trigg County since Friday.
Officials said the new cases included three males and two females between the age of 17 and 42. The new cases are recovering at home, with the county reporting 1,063 cases and eight COVID-related deaths since the pandemic began.
Throughout the same time period, Caldwell County has reported four new cases, while Lyon County has reported 36. A majority of the new Lyon County cases come from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex in Fredonia, where there are 32 active inmates and 12 active staff cases.
