The Christian County Board of Health heard a COVID-19 update and approved a bonus for Christian County Health Department employees.
During the Monday evening meeting, health department director Kayla Bebout said the county is beginning to see a decrease in active COVID-19 cases.
She added the number of new COVID-19 cases this month is also showing a good downward trend.
The Christian County Health Department is among the first four regional COVID-19 vaccination sites in the Commonwealth. Bebout said starting this week, they are scheduled to receive 1,000 new doses a week through the end of March.
Bebout shared they have provided the COVID-19 vaccine to all Christian County Public School teachers who wanted it.
Board of health members also approved a bonus for Christian County Health Department employees. The approval comes after a discussion that began late last year about the bonuses.
Full-time employees will receive $600, while part-time employees will get $200.
