National Weather Service Predicts 6 to 12 Inches Of Snow

The National Weather Service is calling for six to twelve inches of snow during the storm system that will move through the region.


Paduah Lead Forecaster Chris Noles says the snowfall amount prediction has increased during the past 24 hours.

Noles says the entire area will receive at least eight inches of snow.

He adds the first round of snow will move through the region this evening through Monday morning, with the more intense round coming Monday.

Noles adds bitter cold temperatures will make the storm and winter more even more dangerous.

He says with the temperatures and the intensity of the snow storm the region could be close to a Blizzard Warning.

All of Western Kentucky remains under a Winter Storm Warning until 6:00 Tuesday morning.
