Kentucky Reports Fifth Straight Week Of Declining COVID Cases

Governor Andy Beshear confirmed 1,710 new COVID-19 cases Sunday afternoon.

In the daily report, 277 were 18 or younger. Also, 10 new COVID-related deaths were confirmed. The statewide testing positivity rate remained below seven-percent for the second straight day.

Currently, 1,019 Kentuckians are hospitalized with the virus, 270 in the ICU, and 147 are on a ventilator.

Governor Beshear is expected to provide a statewide weather update, alongside Kentucky Transportation Cabinet secretary Jim Gray and Kentucky Division of Emergency Management executive director Michael Dossett, at 8:30 Monday morning on his Facebook and YouTube accounts.
