Kentucky Surpasses 4,000 COVID Related Deaths

Governor Andy Beshear reported nearly 2,000 new coronavirus cases in the state Saturday, as the number of deaths related to the virus surpassed 4,000.

According to the COVID-19 report, there were 1,998 new COVID-19 cases and 49 new deaths, raising the state’s death toll since the pandemic began to 4,020.

Currently, 1,294 are hospitalized, 318 are in ICU, and 164 are on ventilators.

The state’s positivity rate fell to 8.07%, down from 8.16% on Friday.
