Pennyrile District Health Department Receiving 1,500 Vaccines

The Pennyrile District Health Department is set to receive 1,500 doses of the Moderna vaccine over the next three weeks.

Grace Donaldson, Health Education and Community Outreach Coordinator tells the News Edge they will be divided doses of the vaccine between their five-county district.

Donaldson says if you live in Trigg, Caldwell, Lyon, Livingston, or Crittenden counties and are 70 or older, you can be put on the list. She advises calling when they are open to be put on the waiting list. The local health departments re-open Monday morning.

When an appointment is made, Donaldson says you should show up about five minutes before it, to get ready for the first dose of the vaccine.

She adds they are excited to get the vaccine to more of the public. Phone numbers for your local health department can be found here.
