The Christian County Health Department confirmed the county’s 75th death related to the COVID-19 virus Wednesday.
The death was a 49-year-old female with underlying health conditions and is the first COVID death in Christian County in two weeks.
The health department reported 45 new cases of the coronavirus Wednesday with 471 active cases — the most in a week.
Active cases in the 60 and under age demographic increased slightly while the older population remained stable.
