Christian County has 38 more active COVID-19 cases Tuesday than reported Monday.
Health department spokesperson Amanda Sweeney said the county had 586 active cases but saw an increase of 48 newly reported cases Tuesday. She added of the active cases, 341 are between 22 and 59, and 108 are 21 or younger. Christian County currently has 137 active COVID-19 cases among those 60 or older.
In all, there have been 5,535 total COVID-19 cases and 74 deaths since the pandemic began.
