High-Speed Pursuit Ends In Drug & Weapons Charges Against Cadiz Man

A Cadiz man was charged after he reportedly led Christian County deputies on a pursuit that started on North Main Street Tuesday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop an SUV around 6 pm for traffic violations and the driver 28-year-old Zachary White fled at speeds of over 75MPH. The pursuit ended when White ran off the road and attempted to flee on foot near McDonald’s on North Drive.
He was located shortly after by a police K9, and taken into custody on West 2nd Street.

White was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center due to a K9 bite to his hand.

Deputies say around a pound of meth, 100 rounds of ammunition, and a stolen AK-47 out of Todd County were found in his belongings.

White is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property, trafficking meth, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
