Christian County Public Schools began vaccinating their employees Tuesday with the help of the Christian County Health Department.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel said around 25-percent of the more than 800 staff signed up to get the vaccine received it Tuesday, with more expected to receive it Wednesday.
Bentzel added it was a blessing to be getting them.
Bentzel said they created a plan on short notice of getting the vaccines distributed quickly.
Bentzel said they would decide if they will return to the classroom next week, on Friday.
The district had 29 active student cases and 22 active teacher and staff cases as of Tuesday afternoon.
