A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he locked himself in a home on Atkins Avenue Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to serve a felony warrant on Edward Poindexter when he ran into the home and made threats to shoot law enforcement.
Police blocked off the road and surrounded the home and tried several times to get Poindexter to exit the house.
A nephew of Poindexter who is a Christian County Sheriff’s deputy was able to talk him into coming out of the home.
Poindexter was taken into custody a full list of his charges have not been released.
