Second Stop in Two Months Leads to Arrest of Hopkinsville Man

A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from police and possession of drugs Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say on November 20th 40-year-old Genesis Bloomer was stopped by police in reference to an assault. During the stop, synthetic drugs, meth, marijuana, and 47 Gabapentin pills were reportedly found on him and in his vehicle. Police say Bloomer was not arrested at the time of the stop.

In a separate traffic stop Sunday, police say Bloomer was stopped for driving without headlights, and after giving police his name and social security number he fled on foot.

Bloomer was located at a home on Sarah Avenue Wednesday and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking meth, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana, and tampering with physical evidence.
