First District United States Congressman James Comer recently spoke with Fox News about the events that occurred at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Wednesday.
Comer said it was a very dark day in America and recalled the events that occurred before being evacuated from the House chamber.
He also recalled what it was like returning to the Capitol after the scene was clear.
Comer condemned the actions of rioting and violence Wednesday afternoon and said it was not who we are as a nation of law and order. He added mob violence is wrong regardless of political affiliation.
