The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department is alerting Kuttawa residents about unknown offenders who accessed parked vehicles Monday night and stole various items.
Sheriff Brent White says the majority of the incidents happened on or near Chestnut Street and Walnut Drive in Kuttawa. He adds the vehicles appear to have been unlocked in driveways, on the street, or under carports and the offenders rummaged through center consoles, glove boxes, and other compartments.
Sheriff White asks residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity via 911 or by calling 270-388-0911. In addition, anyone with video surveillance of the exterior of their home or business are asked to review your stored footage from Monday night into early Tuesday morning and see if you see anything unusual. If so, the sheriff wants you to contact his office at 270-388-2311.
