Two Cadiz men were injured early Tuesday morning in a two vehicle crash on US 68, near the intersection with Merchant Street.
Cadiz Police say a truck driven by 25-year-old Shane Brumfield was eastbound when it collided with an SUV driven by 62-year-old Esper Crump, which was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. Another eastbound vehicle hit a slick spot in the roadway from the first crash, causing that vehicle to run off the road and into the median.
Brumfield and Crump were taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
The eastbound lanes were closed for about an hour after the crash, which happened just before 5 am.
