Two Arrested In Connection To Burglaries In Kentucky & Tennessee

Shannon Miller

Clarksville Police arrested two people last week connected to a vehicle theft and recent burglaries in Montgomery County, Tennessee and Christian County.

On Wednesday, December 30, officers were in the area of a mobile home park at 820 Tiny Town Road and noticed a Jeep Cherokee that appeared to be spray-painted the color red, parked in front of a trailer.

Officers conducted a check of the vehicle’s registration and noticed the vehicle was stolen from the Needmore Road area. While conducting surveillance, Shannon Miller exited the trailer and entered the stolen vehicle. Miller was taken into custody and arrested on previous warrants. Later, Scott Murphy fled out the trailer’s back door and was apprehended after a foot pursuit for previous warrants.

During the investigation, officers located several spray paint cans at the scene and found both to have red paint on their hands. A search of the vehicle revealed items from several burglaries in the Clarksville and Oak Grove areas.

The Clarksville Police Department says both are facing charges of burglary and theft, but they are unsure of how many as the investigation is still ongoing.
