Trigg Hospital COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Appointment Full This Week

Trigg County Hospital has filled all appointments for this week’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution; meanwhile, the Pennyrile District Health Department will begin offering vaccinations for those 70 or older Thursday.

Hospital Administrator John Sumner confirmed to the News Edge that 500 appointments had been made for distribution Wednesday and Thursday. He adds there is currently no other word on how many more vaccinations they will receive in the coming weeks.

If you were able to make an appointment, Sumner says everyone will be required to wear a mask, present a photo ID, and have a current insurance card.

The Pennyrile District Health Department will also begin vaccinating people 70 and older on Thursday in Trigg County.

The Health Department will be offering the Moderna vaccine on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Trigg County distribution will begin Thursday morning at 9:00 and last until 4:00 p.m. at the location on Main Street in front of Trigg County High School. The health department will be closed for lunch from Noon to 12:30 p.m.

The health department will also offer vaccinations Monday, January 11, through Thursday, January 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The health departments will not offer vaccinations on Fridays.
