A Trigg County High School science teacher lost her battle with COVID-19 Saturday afternoon.
Simone Parker had been employed with the district for nearly 20 years. Parker was very active in the community, including the school’s Interact Club, which helped the Cadiz Rotary Club during their annual auction and many other events.
She had a love and passion for all of her students that extended well past the classroom, often checking up on them through social media or conversations at the grocery store.
Funeral arrangements for Parker, who was 46-years old, will be held Saturday, January 9, at noon, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz.
Visitation will take place Friday afternoon, January 8, beginning at 3:00, at the funeral home.
