Trigg Magistrates Approve Purchase Of New Tasers

Trigg County magistrates approved the purchase of new equipment for the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon during their virtual meeting.

Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander said Sheriff Aaron Acree and Major Mike Sandbrink recently made the recommendation to purchase the new equipment.

Alexander said he is in communication with the company to try and get a lower rate since they will have to make two payments on the new equipment.

Magistrates approved the current estimate for the new tasers.

In other action, members re-approved a resolution originally passed in June. The original resolution featured a lower amount of money than the county will actually receive from the Regional Development Agency Assistance Program.

Magistrates will meet again on Monday evening, January 4 at 6:00 in the basement of the Trigg County Annex building.

The Judge-Executive’s office will be closing at Noon Wednesday for Christmas and will reopen Monday, December 28. The office will also be closed Thursday, December 31, and Friday, January 1, for New Year’s.
