Grand Jury Indicts Couple Charged In North Kentucky Avenue Murder

A Hopkinsville woman and man facing charges in connection to an October murder on North Kentucky Avenue were indicted Friday.

The Christian County Grand Jury returned an indictment for 47-year-old Larayna Manning on a charge of murder and first-degree robbery. The jury also indicted her son, 25-year-old Anthony Manning, on complicity charges to murder and first-degree robbery.

Hopkinsville Police reported in the early morning hours of October 13, both drove to the residence of Calvin Taylor, physically assaulted him, and stole his cell phone. Larayna then reportedly shot him multiple times, causing his death. Anthony allegedly drove his mother to Taylor’s home and away from the residence after his death.

The jury also indicted 38-year-old Germayel Cuencas, of Jacksonville, Florida, on various rape and sodomy charges. The charges come following a Hopkinsville Police report where Cuencas allegedly engaged in sex and performed deviate sexual acts to a minor. The events started in 2013 when the victim was seven-years-old and ended in May 2020.

And 35-year-old Bobby Kyles, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree rape, second-degree burglary, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Hopkinsville Police charged him after he made entry into the victim’s home after pushing her out of the way. Kyles reportedly used physical force to take her into the bedroom, where he raped her. The victim tried to leave the home, but he restrained her. He was later arrested after she was able to call police because he had fallen asleep.
