Veteran Brightening Community With Annual Light Display (w/VIDEO)

Trigg County shines brighter each holiday season because of a local veteran working year-round on one of the largest residential light displays in Western Kentucky.

Stephan Sherrick tells the News Edge he began working with Christmas lights while active duty in the United States Navy.

He says he attends and teaches at the annual Christmas Expo.

Sherrick notes the convention has grown exponentially since the first time he attended.

Last year he added a larger power panel for the lights after running out.

Sherrick says the process of preparing his display begins as early as August.

Sherrick is already planning his display for 2021.

He says to those who have been asking about contributing, to send donations to Helping Hands instead.

Sherrick’s display is located at the corner of Adams Mill Road and Herndon Circle in Trigg County.
