The Christian County Health Department reported three deaths Tuesday related to the COVID-19 virus marking the second time this month multiple deaths have been reported on the same day.
The health department said the latest fatalities are a 71-year-old male, an 81-year-old female, and a 75-year-old male – all with underlying health conditions.
The county has reported 52 deaths since April 8 with 38 deaths coming since September 1.
The health department reported 629 active cases, which is down from Monday’s record-high of 638. The number of people 21 and under with active cases topped 90 for the second straight day. The number of people 60 and older infected with the virus has increased in the past week from 161 to 196.
