The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department will host a virtual tree lighting ceremony Friday night in downtown Hopkinsville.
Superintendent Tab Brockman tells the News Edge the event will live-stream on their Facebook page.
Brockman adds Luxmore is currently battling leukemia.
The Facebook live feed will begin at 6:00 and last around 30 minutes.
The tree lighting ceremony is an effort to keep the #HopkinsChill spirit alive, even though the reverse Christmas Parade and Skatin’ in the Square had to be canceled.
