UHA Not Returning to In-Person Instruction Next Week

University Heights Academy has announced they will continue virtual instruction next week.

UHA Headmaster Beth Unfried stated in an email Friday evening they are legally unable to return to in-person instruction due to Governor Andy Beshear’s executive order requiring all public and private schools to remain closed until Jan. 4. The order states that lower schools can return to in-person instruction on Dec. 7 unless the county remains a red zone under Beshear’s guidelines, as Christian County currently does.

She adds they still are committed to providing high-quality education for their students through Google Classroom. If Christian County is not in the red zone on Dec. 11, the lower school will return to in-person instruction for the week of Dec. 14.
