December could be the last month the Christian County Health Department conducts free COVID-19 testing at Tie Breaker Park in Hopkinsville.
With federal funding expiring at the end of the year, spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said this could affect testing plans for many employers.
Sweeney added they have changed their testing schedule and are conducting rapid testing at their office at 1700 Canton Street.
The cost for a rapid test is $50, and the health department will bill your insurance.
Sweeney recommends only doing the rapid test if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
If you are interested in getting a rapid test, an appointment must be made on the day the test is done. Before getting the test, you will be asked to wait in your car.
Sweeney said if you test positive for the virus, avoid getting tested every few days.
