Deputies have released more information about a 5-year-old Elkton child that was ran over by a vehicle on Concord Lane Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say the child’s parents had just taken her out of their vehicle when she walked out in front of an SUV driven by John Ellis of Hopkinsville in the parking lot of Concord Baptist Church.
The child was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Deputies say the injuries are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.
The crash happened just before 6 pm.
