Christian County Tops 3,000 COVID-19 Cases Since March

Christian County has topped 3,000 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began with 68 new cases reported by the health department Monday.

The number of active cases has risen by 58 since Saturday and currently sits at 558, which is the second-highest total. 40 of the 51 new active cases since Sunday are among the 22-59 age group.

2,402 people are reported as recovered from the virus, giving the county a 79-percent recovery rate.

There were 959 cases of COVID-19 reported in Christian County in November, compared to 691 in October. The number of deaths also increased from eight in October to 14 in November.

Christian County’s overall case total ranks eighth out of 120 counties in the Commonwealth.
