A Hopkinsville woman reportedly told police she was strangled during a burglary at her home on East Parkview Drive Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Raekwon Stubblefield, of Cadiz, entered the home just after 10 pm through a window and grabbed her by her shirt then strangled her by putting his elbow on her neck.
Stubblefield reportedly took her phone before fleeing the area.
Police say Stubblefield and the woman had been texting earlier in the day and were friends. Stubblefield was later located by law enforcement and charged with first-degree burglary
