Christian County Board of Education members approved last week the first reading of the 2021-2022 school year calendar.
Director of Pupil Personnel Melanie Barrett said the calendar meets all of the rules.
The tentative opening day for students would be August 11, 2021, and the tentative closing date would be May 25, 2022. October 6-10, 2021 would be Fall Break, November 24-26 would be Thanksgiving Break, and December 20-31 would be Christmas Break.
Students would return to class on January 3, 2022. April 4-8, 2022, would be Spring Break. The first reading passed unanimously, with the second reading and possible approval at the next meeting.
