The Hopkinsville Beautification Division of Public Works is inviting the public to nominate candidates for Hopkinsville’s Holiday Decoration Award.
Beautification Coordinator Heather Braun said there are two categories that awards will be given in. One is the Best Decorated Residence that will go to twelve private homes; an award will be given in each city council ward. The other is the Best Decorated Business Award, which will go to one business.
To enter or nominate a home or business, call Public Works at (270) 890-0703, go to the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page, or the city’s website.
Entries must be received by Friday afternoon, December 18, at 4:00. All nominations will be judged the week of December 23, and winners will be announced on the Beautification Facebook page. Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and be featured on the city’s website.
Braun said the contest’s goal is to recognize the efforts of Hopkinsville residents and businesses that encourage community pride and holiday spirit.
