Officials with the Christian County Health Department reported two additional COVID-linked deaths Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said the 37th death was a 78-year-old Caucasian female and the 38th death was a 91-year-old Caucasian female; both had underlying health conditions.
The deaths come on the same day the department confirmed 34 new COVID-19 cases bring the county to 2,534 cases. 351 are active, with 123 either 60 or older and 228, 59 or younger. Since the pandemic began, the county has reported 2,145 recoveries.
