A Paducah native was confirmed by the Senate Tuesday to serve as a U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Kentucky.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told members of the Senate that Benjamin Beaton is highly qualified.
McConnell added Beaton had demonstrated a firm commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law.
President Donald Trump nominated Beaton to serve as the U.S. District Judge.
