Nineteen Total New COVID Cases Reported in Caldwell And Lyon Counties

Eleven new coronavirus cases were reported in Caldwell County Friday, which included two men, ages 64 and 75, who are hospitalized.

Judge-Executive Larry Curling informed the News Edge the other nine cases are recovering at home and include eight females and one male, ranging in age from 19 to 77-years old.

As of Friday, the Pennyrile District Health Department reported there are currently 83 active cases in Caldwell County. Since March a total of 409 COVID cases have been confirmed and 326 have recovered.

Officials at the health department also announced eight new cases in COVID cases in Lyon County Friday.

They said all the cases are isolated at home and include four females and four males, ranging in age from 39 to 72-years old.

According to the health department’s report, Lyon County has 26 active cases as of Friday. Of those 23 are recovering at home and three are hospitalized.

Since the pandemic began, 155 COVID cases have been confirmed in the county with 123 recoveries and six deaths related to the virus.
