Christian County Health Department May Have To Reduce COVID-19 Testing

The Christian County Board of Health heard a COVID-19 update, learned about current staffing, and approved the annual audit during Monday evening’s virtual meeting.

Christian County Health Department Director Kayla Bebout said there had been over 2,220 total cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began. She added her staff is working hard.

 

Bebout said they could run out of COVID-19 funding if more is not made available by the federal government before December 31.

 

She added there would be some cutting back of services if the funding is not available.

 

In other information shared with the board, Administrative Services Coordinator Devin Brumfield presented the personnel report. He said they had hired four contact tracers and seven disease investigators since June 1.

 

In other action, the board approved a clean audit conducted by RFH CPAs & Consultants in Lexington. Bradley Hayes presented the audit to the board.

 

The board will meet again Monday, January 11, at 5:00 p.m.
