The Pennyrile District Health Department reported five new coronavirus cases in Lyon County and one new death related to the virus Monday afternoon.
The report shows all the active cases are isolated at home and the cases include three females and two males, ranging in age from 19 to 71-years old.
According to the health department, a 76-year old man is the sixth death in the county linked to the virus.
To date, a total of 141 COVID cases have been confirmed in Lyon County.
