A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on Cedar Street Friday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 42-year-old Lucan Blankenship was stopped after he failed to stop at a stoplight on East 9th Street then attempted to back up in the roadway.
Deputies say Blankenship gave them consent to search his belongings and meth along with a Xanax pill were found.
He was also reportedly found to not have his driver’s license on him. Blankenship is charged with possession of meth.
