I-24 Work Zone May Stay Up Through Thanksgiving

The current work zone on Interstate 24 in Trigg, Caldwell, and Lyon counties could remain in place through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet tells the News Edge they are running behind on the project because of rain delays earlier this year. Todd said there is a lot of rehabilitation going on in the eastbound lanes from the 52 to the 65 mile-marker.

Todd added their original plan has changed for the westbound lanes.

Anybody who may travel through Interstate 24 on a normal basis during the Thanksgiving holiday may want to use another route.
