Millbrooke Elementary School In-Person Closure Continues

Students at Millbrooke Elementary School will continue virtual instruction for the rest of the week.

Christian County Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel said an increase in numbers of positive COVID cases and quarantines while in virtual learning led to the decision. Bentzel added the school would remain closed for in-person instruction through Monday and hoping to have students and staff return to the building that day.

The district will re-evaluate the decision on Friday and let parents know if the closure will continue. Bentzel said parents and students need to remain in contact with their assigned teacher, as they will continue to be available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each weekday.

Food services will also be available to all Millbrooke students Friday. Seven-day food bundles can be picked up from Indian Hills Elementary, Hopkinsville Middle, and Hopkinsville High School from 11:00 a.m. and noon.
