A new COVID-linked death has been confirmed in Todd County.
Health department spokeswoman Jen Harris said Monday evening this marks the 13th death. She added their thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of them.
Harris said of the 26 active cases in the county, 50-percent are African-Americans, disproportionate to the county’s population. She added they are reaching out to leaders in the community to address concerns and solutions in slowing the spread.
The county has seen a total of 309 cases, 269 recoveries and has an 87-percent recovery rate.
