Comer Talks About COVID Vaccine And Government Spending

First District Congressman James Comer was in Princeton this week and said he feels the three things the federal government needs to focus on is a COVID-19 vaccine, less spending, and the economy.

During a stop at the WPKY studios, Congressman Comer said a vaccine for the coronavirus should be available in a few month, which he believes will help get life back to normal.

click to download audioComer added they are doing a lot of testing to make sure the vaccine does not have any side effects.

click to download audioComer also said he is excited to be the head of the Oversight Committee in Washington, which is in charge of waste, fraud and abuse. He said the past few years the committee has become more of a political attack committee but he wants to get the focus back on wasteful government spending.

click to download audioIn addition, Comer said he believes they need to focus on the economy and new economic opportunities for rural areas.
