Millbrooke Elementary School Closing for Three Days Beginning Thursday

Millbroke Elementary School is transitioning to three days of virtual learning beginning Thursday.

In a letter being sent home to families Wednesday, Superintendent Chris Bentzel said the number of positive COVID cases and quarantines have increased over the last week. He added that even as attendance has remained around 90%, health data shows signs of early flu and stomach virus cases in the school.

Millbroke students and staff will complete virtual work Thursday, Friday, and Monday, November 2. Students will return to the classroom on Wednesday, November 4, after the Election Day closure district-wide Tuesday. During that time, Bentzel said the district would thoroughly disinfect the building, deep clean all rooms and common areas, and ensure the building and staff are prepared to receive students.
