Planters Bank Starting ‘Season of Giving’ With A Bang

Planters Bank kicked off their seventh annual “Season of Giving” by donating $5,000 to each of the 12 organizations they plan to support this year.

The bank said the organizations split an initial $60,000 in donations, with CEO Elizabeth McCoy adding it’s their responsibility to give back to the community.

Planters Bank worked with local makers to produce a Kentucky and a Tennessee gift. The kit includes a custom ‘Scent of the Season’ all-natural soy candle produced by the Clarksville Candle Company and a custom-designed flour sack towel created by Williams Advertising. The gift set retails for $20 and is available for purchase at every Planters Bank location.

The bank purchased the gift items from local makers, and 100% of the proceeds from each bank will go to their designated organization. Each bank has picked a local organization to support.

Princeton’s location will support the George Coon Public Library, with the Canton Street location in Hopkinsville to donate funds to the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County. Donations at the location on South Main Street in Hopkinsville will benefit the Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The bank will also donate $5 for each photo shared on social media of the items in use and $25 for every checking and savings account opened when mentioning the Season of Giving promotion.
