Registration Deadline Looming for Halloween Softball & Kickball Fundraiser

Event organizers are reminding community members there are only a few more days left to register for a Halloween themed softball and kickball tournament to benefit a local non-profit that helps families throughout the area who are dealing with childhood cancer.

Lyon County Fourth Grade Reading Teacher Lindsey Bridges says the tournaments, which will be held Saturday, October 24th at the City County Park in Princeton, will benefit Book For Hope, a non-profit located in Paducah.

She adds the event will have something for all ages, the slow-pitch softball tournament for adults and the kickball tournament for the kids.

Bridges states because the tournament takes place right before Halloween she and other organizers thought it would fun for participants to dress up in costume during the tournaments and notes there are registration discounts for those teams who do decide to dress up. Registration fees vary between $100 and $250 and all teams must be registered by October 19th.

Even if playing in the tournament isn’t your thing, all in the community are being invited to attend and watch the festivities.

For more information about how to register you can contact Lindsey Bridges at 270-625-3969.
