Motorists need to be aware a contractor plans to begin the installation of traffic loops at Eagle Way Bypass in Christian County Tuesday.
State Transportation Cabinet spokeswoman for District 2, Keirsten Jaggers says the section of the bypass to be addressed is from U.S. 68/KY 80 extending east to Kentucky 107/Lafayette Road, a distance of approximately five miles. She adds milling and resurfacing work for this area is scheduled to begin by mid-October.
Beginning Tuesday, Jaggers says lane closures will be in place and flaggers will be on-site while the work is performed. Motorists should expect delays and be prepared to reduce their speed.
According to Jaggers, the project is scheduled to be completed at the end of October, weather permitting.
