Christian County Announces 26th COVID-19 Death

The Christian County Health Department announced the county’s 26th COVID-linked death Monday afternoon.

Spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said the 89-year-old African American male had underlying health conditions. She added their thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased.

Sweeney continued by asking everyone to remember to wear your mask, wash your hands, and social distance when possible.

In other numbers released by the department, Christian County reported 27 new COVID-19 cases Monday. The total number of cases now for the county sits at 1,459. Of that, 212 cases are active with 132 in people under the age of 60 and 80 in people 60 or older.
