Todd County’s total number of COVID-19 cases surpassed 200 Friday after six new cases were confirmed in the county.
According to Todd County Health Department Director Jen Harris, all six of the cases are adults, three of which are healthy, and three who have underlying health conditions. One of the adults with underlying health conditions is hospitalized with moderate symptoms. Harris said one of the adult cases is isolated at home with resolved symptoms while the other four isolated at home have no symptoms to severe symptoms. She added four of the cases have been linked to other people infected with the virus.
As of Friday, a total of 201 COVID cases have been confirmed in Todd County. Of that number, 172 have recovered, 17 are healing at home, four are hospitalized, and there have been eight deaths linked to the virus.
Harris reports the county’s recovery rate is now at 85%.
