A check was reportedly stolen out of a mailbox in Hopkinsville sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Hopkinsville Police say someone stole a check worth $3,610 out of a mailbox on Linwood Drive then forged the signature on the check and cashed it.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charges as theft of mail, theft by deception, and third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
