A Providence man was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Caldwell County Friday afternoon.
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Noel states around 12:30 deputies were dispatched to reports of a one-vehicle accident on Rock Springs Road near the intersection with Thomas Bond Road. He adds preliminary investigation revealed 31-year-old David A. Wilson was traveling along Rock Springs Road when he attempted to slow down but his brakes failed to stop the vehicle. Wilson then traveled off of the roadway and struck a tree.
Wilson was then extricated from the vehicle by mechanical means before being transported by ambulance to a Paducah hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Caldwell County EMS and Princeton Fire and Rescue.
